“Grading: The Science and Art to Motivate Students and its Impact”

• Diving into our power as leaders to guide teachers in developing effective
assessment/grading strategies.
• Asking the age-old question, “Are teachers using grades for compliance
or to measure content mastery?”
• Strategies that can be used to assist teachers in developing effective
grading strategies that can lead to higher achievement as well as
reinforce a student’s sense of self-worth.

Dinner Speaker: Dr. Michele Robison – 6:30pm
“The Science and Practical Application of Student Flourishing”

Dr. Michele Robison is an evidenced based Psychologist using the science of Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Neuroscience to help her clients flourish. She has over 22 years of experience working with teenagers and adults. She is also the Associate Director of the Vanguard University Counseling Center and chairs The Living Well Committee on campus where the focus is providing students with practical tools that will help them thrive.

She has a passion for the youth of our world to become resilient, responsible, flourishing leaders of the next generation. She has had the honor of being a keynote speaker at youth conferences, workshops and seminars in the USA and internationally.
